TAS6424E-Q1: The register 0x21 bit7 clear fault but fault still report in 0x0C

Hi expert,

After the DC diagnose an error, I set 1 to the bit 7 of the 0X21 register to clear the fault in DC Load Diagnostic Report 1 Register (address = 0x0C), but it not works.

So I want to know why this is and what methods can clear the error results in DC Load Diagnostic Report 1 Register.

Hi Xiang

The load diag results are not included to the normal Fault state in TAS6424 device. Clear fault won't work.

We could consider using Reset to clear it. But all of the register would be reset, you'll need to re-config the one you need to use.

Hi Xiang,

When the fault is "fixed" and load diagnostics is run, it will clear the fault in the DC load diagnostic fault register.

Hi Xiang

Gregg's suggestion is also no problem. If you could make your load condition back to normal, then run Load Diag function again, will clear all of the Fault flag. And if you can't change your load condition, need to use Reset to clear these register.
