TLV320AIC3104EVM-K: No communication from AIC310x EVM GUI to the dev board via USB

Is D2 lighting up yellow on the board when you plug it in?

I searched for this driver and found this link https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM62X/08_06_00_42/exports/docs/linux/Foundational_Components/U-Boot/UG-DFU.html there is a link in the page marked 'Zadig' ...this was how i found the DFU driver.

I am using the AC-MODEVM, I do not see D2...I see a D1, 'USB READY', blue and it is lit, and a D3, 'POWER', green and also lit. 

I tried to follow the instructions on the link you sent by shorting the SCL and SDA lines on the eval board, but it did not trigger the 'found new hardware' wizard.

Sorry, I assumed you were using the old EVM motherboard. We saw this issue frequently on the old one. We haven't seen it before on the new one. So disregard my previous advice.

The GUI comes with the necessary drivers for the AC-MODEVM. I was unaware of the drivers you shared, so I don't think those will fully resolve the issue you have.

Can you uninstall and delete everything (driver, GUI, etc.), including from your device manager so that your machine recognizes the EVM as a new device? You can double check the installation steps in the EVM user guide and make sure everything happens as described. I think the NI package step might be vulnerable to getting skipped or an error with it causing a problem.

Ok so i uninstalled everything and went through the install process again...SLAU855A...Step 7. NI Labview Run Time Engine installed and i rebooted, step 8, but in step 9...NI VISA Run Time Engine does not run...

I just saw the note about not rebooting... let me try again...

Ok...each step of the install process seems to have executed and i have no errors on the device manager, but i am still getting the bus error on the Command Line Interface after i have tried to load a preset configuration.

Now that the driver issue is resolved, could you measure the I2S lines when you try to run a command? Let me know what you see.

Hi Jeff, If you are referring to the I2S SEL line, selectable from SW2, then currently it is set to ON(switch closed) I2S SEL = 0, but i have tried loading the preset config in both positions...did not seem to make a difference.

If you are referring to the I2C lines, SDA and SCL, these signals are high and do not transition when i click on the load button.

Would you be able to attempt the install on a different machine, preferably one that has never downloaded the GUI before? I want to narrow down if this is an issue with the software (likely) or the hardware/the board itself.

Hi Jeff, I gave the other dev board we purchased to a colleague and asked him to try the install...not sure when he will have time to do this but i will let you know. I have a linux machine i can try it on but again...i'm not sure when i will have time. I needed to switch to some other tasks that have been piling up.
