Tool/software:
Hi,
I am new to the TI smart amplifier ecosystem. We are trying to evaluate the TAS5825EVM and have also bought the PUREPATH-CMBEVM Motherboard
We have installed the PurePath Console v3.2.1 in our windows 10 PC
Installed the EVM GUI SW -TAS5825M GUI for PurePathConsole 3
Connected the Motherboard to the PC
Applied external 5V to PVDD on the EVM daughter board
Connection is succesful but I am not able to do the system check - hardware check always fails and says download unsuccesful. We only have one PurePath Motherboard and one TAS5825 eval board
The Motherboard is detected by the PC and below are the details of the windows driver that is in use.
Driver Name: wdma_usb.inf
Class Guid: {4d36e96c-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}

Matching Device Id: USB\Class_01
Outranked Drivers:
Device Updated: false
Parent Device: USB\VID_0451&PID_BB02\6&26ef9c29&0&1
Hardware Setup
I also tried connecting a small speaker and playing an audio in the PC - there is no output sound
Kindly Help
Thanks
hi,
you have no need do that system check.
connecting the evm board, just use the tuning and audio processing directly.
tks
jesse
The external 5V was not sufficient to turn ON the amplifier. Increased it to 6V and it is now able to play audio
Also the system check download is working
Although, now it says audio sound card sampling frequency is not 48kHz
All the tuning seems to work fine. Should I change sound card firmware with the one found from here
Thanks,
hi,
when we use the evm, there seems no this firmware request. but i think you can take a try.
if you cannot play the audio, is that possible you haven't chosen correct input for the evm?
tks
