TLV320ADC5140: Unable to power on ADCs, device_status[1] reads 0xC0

Hello!

I'm having some issues initialising the TLV320ADC5140, no matter the configuration I attempt it appears that the ADC's are not powering on as indicated by the device status register [1] always outputting 0xC0 as a result.

My intended configuration is a TDM8 master with the first four channels driven by this IC, I can see the FSYNC and BCLK pulsing at my desired frequencies, though nothing is observed on SDOUT.

I also tried following the recommended command sequence from the thread below as a debugging step, however I end up with the same result, 0xC0.

The IC is being used on a custom hardware platform, looking at the evaluation kit and datasheet there doesn't appear to be any major deviations from the recommended design. Are there any suggestions as to why the ADCs may not be powering on?

Do you have the I2C slave address programmed anywhere? We usually write commands in the format "w 98 00 00" as defined here:
