Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1795, OPA1632, , OPA1642
Tool/software:
Hi TI,
I’d like to DC-couple a PCM1795 (diff I/V with OPA1632) into TPA3255 (no input coupling caps).
Plan: set VOCM ≈ AVDD/2, derived from AVDD via thin-film divider → OPA1642 buffer → 49 Ω → OPA1632 VOCM. TPA inputs then see ~AVDD/2 CM, ~0 V diff DC.
Questions:
-
What DC input CM do you recommend at INPx/INNx when DC-coupled? Is AVDD/2 correct, and what tolerance band is safe?
-
I see the issues with this approach when using PFFB (vs the traditional AC-coupled input), any ideas on how to mitigate that?
-
If DC-coupling is not recommended, what specific capacitor series/parts do you suggest for best performance and availability given many “audio-grade” electrolytics are discontinued?
Thanks!
