Hi. I'm SH.

I have purchased TAS5721-TAS5723EVM and evaluated.

I tried to download the TAS5721 PurePath Console as User's guide but I can't download.

So I downloaded and installed TAS57xx GDE.

But this GDE is only consisted of TAS5731, TAS5711 dedicated.

Please let me know how to do using GDE.

I got a TAS5721 PurePath lConsole and EVM is working well. Thank you.

I have purchased not only TAS5721 EVM but also TAS5624ADDVEVM with TAS5538 IC on board and TAS5614LADDVEVM.

I'm trying to work TAS5624ADDVEVM operation but seem to TAS5538 GUI is not working.

If pushing the connect button and reading the address(0x00), output message is "Read successfull" but output value is 00( not 6C) all about address.

When I prove SDA pin on Input-USB Board 3, the state of SDA is not changed from high.

Recognize the USB drivers, there is no problem.

Please let me know how to operating.

Let re-flash the firmware. Are you using Windows 7 or Windows XP?

Hello SH,

For WIn 7 Machine, use the following files and instructions. This only works with Windows 7. Please let me know if you are using Windows XP.

5277.USBFirmware_Win7.zip

1. Install win 7 DFU driver manually by going to the /dfu_driver folder

2. Remove A0 jumper, disconnect any EVM connected to the INPUT board

3. Apply 12V to the input USB 3 board. Then connect USB cable from the Win 7 PC to the INPUT USB board.

4. Start up DFUTEST.EXE

5. Click "Program EVM" and browse and select DFUEE.bin. Before clicking OK put A0 jumper on

6. After restoring the jumper, click OK. The DFUTEST program will then load the file to the EPROM.

7. A file browse pop-window comes up next. Browse and select the eeprom.BIN file and click Open. The DFUTEST program will now load the file to the EPROM. The board should now be ready to be used with the TAS5538 GUI.

Dear Paul,

I have updated the firmware as your advice but EVM and PC was not connecting.

Though inserting EVM USB interface to PC USB port, PC'S USB driver is keeping original PC audio driver.

So when I have updated with "USB-miniEVM0221_441KHZ.BIN" file in same folder, PC'S USB driver is changed to USB-mini, but It is not connecting with TAS55XX_GUI.exe.

Please inform to me another method.

Hi SH,

In an earlier post you indicated the TAS5721 PurePath Console GUI communication was working fine, while the PurePath Console TAS5548GUI was not. -- Is that still the case?

Hi Ravi,

TAS5721 GUI was working fine.

My second board is TAS5624 EVM, this EVM is embedded with TAS5538 modulator and TAS5538 GUI was not working yet.

Should I use TAS5548 GUI on TAS5624 EVM?

Anyway, after InputUsbBoard3 was updated the firmware, PC didn't recognize USB driver.

I succeeded TAS5624 EVM operating using TAS5548 GUI. whew~

Hello All,

I am having TAS5548EVM. but, don't have the exact GUI software setup for the EVM mentioned. In TAS5548EVM user's guide,the software installation (section 2.2) has clearly mention about ControlConsole GUI for working with the TAS5548EVM. I have installed PurePath Console GDE for it,but not getting TAS5548EVM as my target EVM there.I also tried searching the desired setup files(ControlConsole GUI) but i didn't find any thing on TI's Website like this. Kindly do me a favor by providing the appropriate link of ControlConsole GUI for TAS5548EVM or else guide me how to work with TAS5548EVM in PurePath Console GDE.

Any help will be highly appreciable.Feel free to ask any questions.
