LM4765 FFF replacement or equivalent application circuit for the LM4766 mute pin.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM4766

The LM4765 has gone obsolete. Is there a FFF replacement? I found the LM4766 but it looks like the mute circuit is different; it wants to be pulled low to the negative rail (-12V) vs the LM4765 which conveniently pulled up to the positive rail.  I was controlling the LM4765 mute from the processor (+3.3V ) through a FET buffer.  Do you have a recommended application circuit  to interface the the LM4766 Mute pin with ( VEE reference of -12V) to a processor referenced at +3.3V?

Thanks

  • Hi David,

    Welcome to e2e.
Unfortunately there is not an application note about controlling LM4766 Mute with +3.3V control signal. However you should be able to control this mute feature through a FET switch circuit if you need to.
