Hi,
I'm working on a TAS5756M based design, I'm about to finalize the board layout. As I understand it the intended work process is to use the PPC2 software connected to a PPC motherboard + TAS5756M EVM combination to create all settings, then generate a file that can be used by the local controller in the application. My question is if it would be possible to interface our design directly to the PPC motherboard? What signals would need to be present in order for the PPC2 software to accept the board as a target and be able to perform the settings?
Best regards,
Henrik
Hi Henrik,
Unfortunately PPC2 will not be able to meet that kind of need since PPC2 will detect the hardware id of both PurePath Console Mother board and the TAS5756MDCAEVM when it is loaded.
We have a new device TAS5782M, which is p2p to TAS5756M. A completely new software platform PPC3 is used for this device and that GUI has a feature called in-system tuning, which is what you are looking for.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the fast reply! The TAS5782M looks very interesting. I've read the data sheet but I found no information on what is required to enable communication between PPC3 and the application board. If you can provide any additional information so that I can prepare the design for in-system tuning I would very much appreciate it.
Best regards,
Henrik
Hi Andy,
Much appreciated I have access to the TAS5782M app now. However, I'm struggling to connect to my target hardware. I2C address is configured as 0x90 (ADR0 and ADR1 Low). Do I need to have the TAS5782 EVM board connected to the motherboard when connecting my target hardware to the motherboard?
Thanks,
Alex
