As a follow-up to previous question, I am trying to operate TPA32xx above audible band, based on datasheet saying "Signal Bandwidth up to 100 kHz for High Frequency Content From HD Sources".
Using TPA3255-EVM, filter of 7uH and CBTL of 0.1uF, LC filter designer tool shows with 8ohm load I should be about -1.4dB down at 100kHz. However, when populating these values on EVM, the response is measured as -6dB @ 100kHz. Bandwidth of the audio analyzer is set to <10Hz to >500kHz.
Is this due to input circuitry bandwidth limitations of TPA32xx?
If power output requirement is only 20W, is there a way to use a higher rated part (like TPA3255) with a lower than 5uH inductance, to achieve the desired frequency response, while still keeping over-current protections robust?
