TAS5631B: POP noise when pull down RESTE pin

Hi Team

We design a speaker use TAS5548+TAS5631B. When we pull down the RESET pin of TAS5631B to mute the amplifer, it cause POP noise whether we mute the TAS5548 signal. we can't slove the issue.

Can you give some suggestion ? thanks

Hi Aggil,

Can you give us more details? How large of a pop is it? Is the pop on all of the output signals? What is the output configuration of the TAS5631B?

Hi Robert

The POP noise is only a little, but it influence the audio performance. TAS5631B is in BTL mode. The schematic attach below.

Hi Aggil,

Thank you for sending the schematic. I haven't finished my review of the schematic but I noticed that there are two TAS5631B devices in the system. Are they both experiencing the same level of pop? Also can you tell me how they are conducting this pop test?

Most of the time pop isn't noticeable unless you have your ear very close to the speaker. Since you mentioned it's very quiet then I am wondering how close are they to the speaker when the measure the pop.

The two devices are all experiencing pop, we can hear the POP nearly 30cm. thanks

Hi Aggil,

Yes I meant to say TAS5631B. Thought the fact that both ICs are experiencing pop does reduce the chances of it being the actual ICs.

I have reviewed the schematic. There was one thing that caught my eye on the outputs of the TAS5631B. Why is AC9, AC26, AC47, and AC60 in the schematic?
