Using 2 PCM1864 as master and slave and using the TDM output option, is not clear to us if we need to do something HW wise to interconnect both Data outputs together, Page 73 of the data sheet shows a high level example but wondering if it is that simple, please elaborate

    Hi Armando,

    When you configure the device in TDM mode, the DOUT pin will be Hi-Z (high impedance) when the device is not transmitting data (but still being clocked). This allows other devices on the bus to transmit their data. As a result, you can connect the data output pins together when using multiple device for >4ch output on single data line. The host processor can access each channel w different offsets.
