Part Number: SRC4382EVM-PDK
Hi
I am struggling to install the USB drivers for the SRC4382EVM-PDK.
I have followed the instructions in the User guide (section 3.3), but the device is recognized as a Human interface device, not a NI-VISA USB device as the guide says is required.
the USB-MODEVM_WDM.inf file is in the C:/Windows/inf directory, and is installed, but when I try to update the driver, USB-MODEVM does not appear as an option.
Where am i going wrong?
I have tried on both windows xp and windows 10 32bit, the result is the same on both.
Thanks
Ben
Hello Steve
Thank you for your reply.
1. Yes i have an external power supply plugged in to the Power adapter port (J19)
2. SW5 is currently set low, JMP3/4 are already set in the 1-2 position. I have now changed SW5 to Hi
Please let me know what I should try next.
Thanks
Ben
Ben,
Ok, Sounds like the hardware is configured correctly. The external power supply is set to 6-10V?
The DAIMB board uses the same Driver as the USBMODEVM.
Here is my recommendation: We've been seeing a fair amount of issues with this version of the USBMODEVM firmware. It is quite old and we are seeing a fair number of user's having problems.
in the Case of the SRC4392 the EVM uses the Serial Commander program which is just an I2C interface. What I recommend is changing the DAIMB firmware to a more recent version.
Download this file : Audio Converter Firmware (TAS1020B) V0304 (Rev. B)
This is the updated firmware. I recommend installing Purepath Console 3 and using the I2C master app. PPC3 is our most recent Audio software package. All of our audio Teams are still developing software for it, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. You need to request access to PPC3 so it will take a day or so before you are approved for download.
