TAS2552: Some questions

Part Number: TAS2552

Hi Sirs,

Sorry to bother you.

We would like to know

1. Do we need  pack the GND on OUT+/OUT-/VSENSE+/VSENSE? If Yes, should we connect to AGND or PGND?

2. Have the brd file can refer?

3. TAS2552 VBAT power consumption,
Our devices is 8ohm 1W output, in this spec what will VBAT current consumption?

Thanks!!

  • Hi, Shu-Cheng,

1.- The connection to a capacitor to GND is actually optional as shown in the circuit that you attached. As shown in the typical applications section of the datasheet ( www.ti.com/.../tas2552.pdf ). These capacitors to GND are (optionally) recommended for EMI reduction. These capacitors should be connected to PGND.

2.- I would suggest to take a look at our EVM schematic ( www.ti.com/.../slau496a.pdf ). It has the option to connect the capacitors to GND at the OUT/SENSE pins.

3.- Please take a look at the figure 9 of datasheet ( www.ti.com/.../tas2552.pdf ). The current consumption at VBAT would be around 400mA.

    Best regards,
    Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
