TAS5756M: Bad noise output in I2S Master Mode

Part Number: TAS5756M

Hello,

I am trying to use TAS5756m as Master Mode I2S, but when I generate a music, there is some noise heard on speakers. In standard I2S data format it is soo bad, but if I switch to LJ, RJ, or MSB it's better, but still had it.

Also on p.43 in datasheet, is described that the SCKL, LRCK/FS and system clock should are synchronizated, or  otherwise analog outputs are forced to the bipolar zero level. So that happend to me too.

How can I fix that?

I am using a 12.288MHz as master clock on MCLK pin. Generated SCLK and LRCK/FS are 1.5MHz and 48kHz.

Any advice could be helpful.

Regards,

Petar

  • Hi Petar,

I usually suggest my customers use the TAS5756M in the slave mode since it is the easiest to make TAS5756M work. Also, most of our customers choose the slave mode as well.

I would also suggest you try the slave mode first to make sure you have no hardware issue.

Can you tell me how you configure TAS5756M to make it work in the master mode?

    Andy
