Hi
I am doing a project wher i need to convert usb data from PC to I2s, here am using PCM2707. I have some doubt please do help me to come out of these,..
1. Is there any Self checking procedure to check the IC outside the circuit.
2. how much frequency input has to be fed into IC through USB, and at what freq we will get I2s data as output.
3. why is SSPEND pin used
4. As i tried with both XP and Vista at the input end,.. XP detects this ckt as 'USB audio DAC' and Vista detects as 'USB speaker '
is there any difference in drivers in these OS.
5. Can u please get me a circuit design which can help me to convert USB data to I2s, which must be BUS powered, because i am not sure about what i am having now.
6. How to check the I2s data at the output, if you have any idea please do share with me.
waiting for the earliest reply,....
Hi Don Dapkus
Thanks for your reply,.
But we need 12Mhz Clock at System clock line of I2S, is tat possible from this circuit
Ramya,
Sorry, I misread your original post...
The PCM2707 can take USB audio, and it has two outputs: analog and SPDIF. It doesn't not provide I2S out.
I couldn't find any of the PCM2xxx series that offer I2S out. THey are all either analog or SPDIF.

The PCM2706 and PCM2707 do support the output of I2S. I'm using two PCM2707 here with the I2S output.
