LM4951A: Amplifier Vin stability & audio amplifier performance

Part Number: LM4951A

Hi,

I'm working with customer on a protection circuit application on LM4951A Vin whereby eFuse added upfront on supply end to ensure protection circuit kicks in to limit Vin to LM4951A. However I noticed that I'm experiencing bad audio quality during voltage surge and was wondering if fluctuating voltage input affects the audio performance & whether if OVLO triggered behavior on eFuse  (auto-retry & latch type) compromises the audio amplifier performance?

BR,

Leo

  • Hi Leo,

I'm not very clear on the problem you're describing, can you add some scope shots or diagrams to better understand the application and what is the behavior you want to change?

I'm thinking the Vin limit you mention is causing the signal to clip, either from the input signal or from the power supply.

    Best regards.

is it possible if we communicate via email for this post? I've got some information which may not be convenient to be shared publicly. Thanks.
