1. i wanna use this EVB to evaluate the LMX2491. can I get it with the LMX2491 on and if not can I replace the device manually
2. can I use the EVB with either lmx2491 and lmx2492 to generate a chirp of 3 to 3.5GHz of a couple of ms.
The functionality of these devices are identical, except for the max. Fin input frequency. You can use the LMX2492EVM to evaluate LMX2491.
Since the frequency ramp function will increment the frequency once per fpd cycle, if your sweep time is long, suggest make fpd smaller and you may also need to enable the RAMPx_DLY bit to make frequency increment once per two fpd cycles.
Don't forget to read the EVM user's guide for some ramp examples.

Yes, this is doable as long as the fpd is low enough.
