LMK04832: How to use 4-wire SPI mode

Part Number: LMK04832

In the datasheet, it mention the chip supports 4-wire SPI mode, but I can't figure out where the SDO pin is and how to use it? Any details about this?

Thanks

  • Hi diverger,

This function is described in the following section.

    8.6.2.1 System Functions
    8.6.2.1.1 RESET, SPI_3WIRE_DIS
This register contains the RESET function and the ability to turn off 3-wire SPI mode. To use a 4-wire SPI mode,
selecting SPI Read back in one of the output MUX settings. For example CLKin0_SEL_MUX or RESET_MUX. It
is possible to have 3-wire and 4-wire readback at the same time.

Set register 0x000 bit-4 to 1 to enable 4-wire SPI mode.

You can select one of the I/O pins (pin 5, 31, 48, 58, 59) to output readback data.
