WEBENCH® Tools/LMK03328: How to simulate jitter performance?

Part Number: LMK03328

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi Team,

Please advise me on questions bellow.

I consider using the LMK03328 as a jitter cleaner.
Before I start design PCB, I want to estimate the Jitter cleaning
performance of the device.

I have downloaded the latest version of the PLLatinum sim (v1.5.4.0).
However, I did not find LMK03328 in the device list.

Q1. How can you find LMK03328?
Q2. How can you enter custom phase noise for the reference input?
Q3. Are there any tool you can use this purpose?

  • Hello Mita,

We currently do not have a Pllatinum Sim model for this part. This is in the plans and is currently being worked on. Please check back in a couple weeks for an update on this.

In general for the devices provided on Pllatinum Sim, select Intermediate or Advanced mode, and under the Phase Noise tab you will see a radio button to Load Data into the Input Source (OSC) Noise section. If you click on the help "?" button it will tell you the format needed for the input.

Currently we do not have any other tool for this. You can use the TICSPro software to configure your inputs and outputs and test different configurations on the LMK03328EVM.

    Thanks,

    Vibhu
