Can someone with a known working LMX2595 evaluation board with TICS Pro Software v1.6.8 - I'm not sure what version of USB2ANY firmware (I assume latest) verify that the "Raw Registers->Read All Registers" works?

I ask because I had an issue with one of my boards that caused me to replace the LMX2595 chip. When I was checking the replacement worked I discovered that I cannot read back any register values I just receive a value of FFFF for every register. I initially assumed this was a problem with the repair but when I applied settings for 10Mhz and 100Mhz etc. the repaired board produced the requested output. This then led me to check if I could read back values on my other LMX2595 evaluation board and I could not. I received a value of FFFF for every register on that board too. This happens using either of my Reference Pro boards.

I seem to remember the read back feature used to work - but it may have been with a previous version.

On the about screen of TICS Pro it states Build Date: 08-Jun-18

Hi Axawire,

Right, I just checked, the Read All Registers button does not work as expected. We will fix this in next revision.

In the mean time, please use the Read button to read back the register value one by one. We are sorry for the inconvenient caused.

Hello,

When I enter the address, for example R0 and click Read I still get a value of 0x00FFFF below the register field. But your screen shot seems to indicate it should have completed the field below the Register/Field Name with the correct value. However if I look at the log down in the lower left it indicates it read 0x00251C as expected.

Hi axawire,

Sorry for the confusion, the box below the register number (R0) is simply a representation of the register number in hex format.
The read back value is shown in the dialog box, as you highlighted.
So you are getting the right read back value.
