NE555: Two 50% PWM signal (+/-180 degree) with manual dead time control

A 555 timer can be used for this functionality. We have an FAQ page on the A-stable mode of operation that discusses how to achieve a 50% duty cycle. When the reset pin is pulled low, the output will be pulled low. This is one way to achieve the dead time. Here is a link to the FAQ on the A-stable mode.
