CDCS502:Input Frequency

Part Number: CDCS502
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCE913

What happens if I enter an input frequency higher than the recommended 32MHz?
Also, are there any conditions under which it can be used at an input frequency of 40MHz?

Best regards,

  • Satoshi,

If the CDCS502 is used outside of the datasheet specified input range, we cannot guarantee that the operation will follow the specifications of the datasheet.

If the 40 MHz clock is from an LVCMOS source, the CDCE913 can be used as a suitable replacement. If the 40 MHz clock is from a crystal, a 32 MHz crystal can be used with the configurable PLL of the CDCE913 to generate the required output frequency.

    Thanks,

    Kadeem
