CDCI6214: CDCI6214 : input clock specification

Part Number: CDCI6214
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCE6214

Hi Team ,

Can i use a 50 Mhz CMOS clock as the single ended input to the clock generator CDCI6214 (The device is termed to support LVCMOS single ended input ). I am planning on using the DSC1001DL5-050.0000 clock oscilator from Microchip for the same. Also please advise on any AC-coupling required on board

Thank you

  • Amal,

We recommend using the CDCE6214 over the CDCI6214 for all new designs for improved performance and added functionality. The devices are pin to pin.

On the CDCE6214, the reference input does not need to be AC-coupled:

    Thanks,

    Kadeem
