LMK05318: programming consultation

I attempted to write to the EEPROM of this chip and found that data from 0 to 8 bytes could not be successfully written. I would like to inquire whether these bytes can be written to. Additionally, if not programmed, will it affect the functionality of the chip?

Hi,

Please check our register programming manual which states those bits are Read Only.

Are you using the LMK05318 or LMK05318B? We recommend customers migrate to the -B version as this is the latest silicon.

I'm sorry for the vague inquiry earlier.

I would like to know if, after writing to the SRAM from 0 to 252, after the EEPROM programming command, the first 9 bytes (0-8) of the NVM EEPROM cannot be written to. Also, I would like to inquire about the power consumption status during programming of the LMK05318 nonB silicon.

Hi Tsaiyu,

Thanks for clarifying. The first 9 bytes of SRAM/EEPROM come from read-only registers which should not be changed or modified. These registers are used for part identification and PLL calibration unique across parts.

For the power consumption, I did a quick check on my bench and saw the current increase by 2mA during EEPROM programming. This is with the voltage set between 3.3V and 3.4V.
