I am working with two LMX2820 PLLs that share common SPI lines, with only the chip select (CS) differentiating between PLL1 and PLL2. I am facing an issue where I am unable to generate different output frequencies simultaneously. If I program both PLLs to the same RF output frequency, I get the expected output. However, when setting different frequencies, the outputs are not as expected.
I am using a 20 MHz SPI clock frequency to program the registers. My approach is to load the default register values for a specific output frequency and modify only the feedback divider register (R36) to change the output frequency.
