LMX2820: LMX2820

Part Number: LMX2820

Tool/software:

Dear Team,

I am using the LMX2820 PLL to generate various output frequencies with a 100 MHz reference frequency derived from a TCXO. I would appreciate it if you could provide the recommended TICS Pro GUI configuration settings to achieve optimal spurious performance, assuming that power supply ripple and switching frequency considerations have already been addressed.

Thank you for your support.

Frequency Band1:

15920MHz

15940MHz

15960MHz

15980MHz

Frequency Band2:

14240MHz

14540MHz

  • Hi Vamshi,

These are all fractional channels, the closet fractional spurs frequency is at 5MHz offset.

Suggest use smaller charge pump current to reduce the spurs. Drawback is loop filter bandwidth is limited so inband phase noise will be higher.

You can start with PLL_NUM = 1000, if spurs is too big, try PLL_NUM = 12345678.
