CDCM6100XEVM: CDCM6100XEVM

Part Number: CDCM6100XEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK5B12212

Tool/software:

Hi,

Is it possible to generate different frequencies at each output with CDCM6100XEVM for example 283MHZ, 100MHZ, 400MHZ.

I want to synchronise the clock inputs of multiple instruments (approx 4 to 5) like AWG, Scope and signal generator etc.

Do you recommend any evaluation boards for this.

Thank you

  • SM,

No, all the outputs come from a single output divider, so you cannot generate different frequencies at each output.

Do you have a clock tree for your application? How many outputs you need, what frequencies and output types? From there I can better recommend a device to fit the need,

    Best,

    Cris

  • Hi, I am looking for programmable synthesizer with multiple output dividers. Independently programmable output frequency banks preferably o/p freq range from 70Hz to 600Mhz, minimum of 4 outputs LVPECL with 50 ohm impedance, vin 3.3V

    Thank you

  • SM,

I do not believe we have a one-chip solution for this in our clock generator portfolio. I am adding our DPLL expert to this thread.

Jennifer, would the LMK5B be suitable here?

    Best,

    Cris

  • Thank you.

I found this SY89537L but they are not selling eval board. Do you have anything similar to this. We don't have PCB designing/making facilities here.

  • Hi S M,

The LMK5B12212 can be used to generate your outputs. The device contains three APLLs to support up to three frequency domains.

The BAW APLL for the 100 MHz outputs.

APLL2 for the 330 MHz and and 330 Hz outputs.

APLL1 for the 283 MHz outputs.

You can use AC-coupled HSDS signal to generate the LVPECL outputs.

    Regards,

    Jennifer
