LMK1D1204: Using LMK1D1204 as a LVCMOS buffer

Hi,

 

I have two LVCMOS18 clocks coming from an oscillator and an FPGA and i want to mux and drive LVCMOS18 output clocks to 4 camera sensors. 

How do i terminate the unused in_N and out_N pins? Shall I just connect a 100Ohm resistor to ground?
What should be the value of Rs?

  • Hi Puneet,

    The appropriate way to terminate the unused input for this device is to do as is shown in the datasheet

    You must bias the unused input to the midpoint of the input signal swing. 

    For the output, I would not recommend using this device if you are not seeking the full LVDS output signal/differential pair that this device provides. The single-ended LVDS swing is only 175-250mV. If you want a proper LVCMOS buffer, let me recommend the LMK1C1104.
