CDCVF25081 vs IDT2309

Hi,

My cutomer is planntin to use IDT2309.

So I would like to propose CDCVF25081 to the customer against IDT2309.

Because CDCVF25081 seems to be "pin-compatible" with IDT2309 without "pin16".

And I also think we can use CDCVF25081 instead of IDT2309 if we connect 16pin to 15 pin of CDCVF25081.

Is my idea correct?

    Hi Suzuki-San,

    The difference between the two parts is that CDCVF25081 has an external feedback input pin to which one of the output clocks would have to be routed back to in order for the zero delay mode to work.

    On IDT2309, the feedback is internal. There is no external Feedback input pin. CLKOUT is fed back internally to the PLL phase detector.

    Effectively, the number of output clocks on CDCVF25081 is 8 while IDT2309 has 9

    Hello Suzuki-san,

    in case customer is looking for a 9-output device, we can offer the CDCVF2509 and CDCVF2509A. Both devices need external feedback loop connection. The CDCVF2509A goes automatically in Power-Down mode when no input is applied.

    The customer would like "pin-compatible" device and 8 outputs are enough for the customer.

    But let me inform CDCVF2509 to the customer for their next model.
