CDCLVD1208 80 ohm differential pair

Hi folks -

Can I use the CDCLVD1208 to drive an 80 ohm differential pair instead of 100 ohms? Assume a 40 ohm to VTT termination on each end.

Will the IBIS model be valid for this case?

Hello, I'll check with the IBIS team about this. Although I don't think there will be an issue.

If you have good far end termination, then there should be no reflections to worry about.

Hello,
I was advised that you would get a different voltage, but that may be part of the reason for changing the impedance.
