SN65LVDS104: The 100-Ω externalIs between A and B is necessary？

There is no integrated 100ohm termination resistor between A and B inputs of SN65LVDS104.

(1)The 100-Ω externalIs between A and B is necessary?

(2)If there is no 100-Ω external resistor between A and B，Can the chip work properly in long-term？
