Hello, I am looking for a fan out buffer with 3 or more LVCMOS outputs. My input is a clipped sine from a TCXO. Will this device handle this type of input?
Hi,
I have looked at the selection table, but I can't find any clipped sine to LVCMOS buffers. Do you have any practical experience using clipped sine as input signal to one of your LVCMOS buffers?
Best regards,
Svein Inge
Hi Svein,
The datasheet typically provides requirements for clock input. For example, for CDCLVC1103, there is this table:
So long as your clock input meets these requirements, the shape of the signal (clipped sine) wouldn't matter. Of course, the safest way will be to follow the swing requirement of LVCMOS format in this case, use AC coupling and create common mode externally.
