CDC2516: Is this the closest TI cross to the IDT MPC941AER2?

Part Number: CDC2516
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCVF2510A, CDCLVC1112, CDCLVC1310

Hello!  The TI Cross Reference Tool returns CDC2516 as the closest cross to the IDT MPC941AER2 but that TI part is listed as NRND inside the datasheet.  It suggests  the CDCVF2510A instead but that doesn't look to be a fit for my customer's requirements (listed below).  Do you have any other alternate we might suggest that has similar functionality to the IDT part and/or meets the needs below?

VCC= 3.3V

Input Type: LVPECL

Output type: LVCMOS

Output (preferably) 1:27 (min)

-or-

Output

    1. 1 to 24 (min)

and

    1. 1 to 6

Also, the TI product folder still lists the CDC2516 as active but inside the datasheet it says NRND.  What is the true status?  If NRND, I might suggest that the product folder clearly reflects that information.

Thank you,

Meredith

  • Hi Meredith,

Unfortunately we do not have a single chip solution that will meet these requirements. The customer may be interested in CDCLVC1310 or CDCLVC1112. We could propose an alternative multichip solution depending on the application requirements.

Thanks for pointing out the NRND/ACTIVE conflict. I have submitted an internal request for the information, I should receive a response within a few days.

    Kind regards,
    Lane
  • Thanks Lane! I'll reach out if we need additional support to offer a multi-chip solution.
