Hello sir, In the reference pro board of LMX2595EVM there is MSP430F5529 controller in reference pro board as I am about to make my own pcb.

1) May I know what exact pins are interfaced to the LMX2595 IC from the controller.

2) What kind of crystal is used as clock for MSP430F5529 controller.

Hi Singam,

1. You can check this out in the schematic section in the EVM user's guide.

2. I think it is a 24MHz crystal.

As per the EVM user guide schematic there is no controller. The schematic of the reference pro board is not given. In general the LMX2595EVM is controlled through the GUI where in the reference pro board is used as interference between the GUI and LMX2595EVM. In order to make our own pcb or board this MSP430F5529 controller which is on reference pro board is to be programmed for the required frequency.

1) The pins other than P3.3,P3.4,P2.7, from MSP430F5529 what all the other pins required to connect the LMX2595 IC.

Hi singam,

To program the LMX device, pin 24 CSB; pin 17 SDI and pin 16 SCK are needed.

If you need to read back written registers, pin 20 MUXOUT is also needed.

That's fine sir. Now the pins like P3.3 Data Out (UCA0SIMO) from MSP430F5529 is connected to SDI pin of LMX device, P3.4 Data In (UCA0SOMI) is to be for MUXOUT and P2.7 Serial Clock Out (UCA0CLK) is connected to the SCK of the LMX device. other than these connections are there any further connections needed to be interfaced for the IC LMX2595.
