TLC555: Maximum frequency in a-stable mode

Hello,

I have a question about the operating characteristics of TLC555.

The datasheet states that the maximum frequency in a-stable mode is min 1.2 MHz and typ 2.1 MHz.

Does it mean that devices with maximum frequency (in a-stable mode) of 1.2 MHz possibly exist due to the variation?

Hello Hasegawa-san,

That is correct. Because of variations in the part, some devices can have a maximum frequency as low as 1.2MHz. The typical value for the part is 2.1MHz, but you will not see a part with a maximum frequency lower than 1.2MHz.
