LMK61E0M: Replacing TCXO with LMK61E0M

Part Number: LMK61E0M

Hi,

Please let me know whether TCXO can be replaced with LMK61E0M or not.

Best regards,
Kato

  • Hello Kato,

What is the frequency stability of the TCXO? The TCXOs I'm familiar with have ppb (parts per billion) stability, while the LMK61E0M is on the ppm order (parts per million) - so it's different orders of magnitude.

The LMK61E0M can be used in DCO - digitally controlled oscillator - mode however. Means they can update the fractional numerator to make very very fine adjustments - ppb order - on their output frequency.

So to sum up it fully depends on the system.

    Thanks and regards,

    Amin

  • Hi Amin-san,

    Thank you for the information.

    I understand.
