BQ4802LY: Battery-backup mode

Part Number: BQ4802LY

Hi All,

I have a question about BQ4802LY.

Can the Battery-backup mode voltage range be understood as the following range of VPFD?

Also, if SRAM is not used, is it unnecessary to connect the CEout pin?

Best Regards,
Ishiwata

  • Hi Shuji,

VPFD is a threshold range.  The behavior will change when the battery voltage is above and below this as well as VCC.  For the battery range see Backup cell voltage, VBC in Recommended Operating Conditions, 2.4 to 4V

If SRAM is not used CEOUT does not need to be connected.  CEOUTis an output, the IC will drive it according to the input conditions, but it can be ignored.
