ADS1291: temperature measurement

Part Number: ADS1291

Hello,

I am sorry to interrupt you again. About the temperature measurement about ADS1291 posted a month ago, your opinion is injecting significant 50/60Hz power line interference in the system.

(+) ADS1291: Temperature measurement - Data converters forum - Data converters - TI E2E support forums

According to the customer's test, he has cut off all the internal  electrode, so it should not be  injecting the noise. He configured the register as this:CH1SET = 0x14,RLD_SENS(0x06) = 0x00, LOFF_SENS(0x07) = 0x00, and he read the registers REG00~REG0B:  52 00 A0 10 14 91 00 00 00 02 83 0C

If he  touched the right leg drive during temperature test, the temperature is fluctuate randomly, but has no problem  if touched the RA,LA electrodes. Could you please help to analyze?

Best regards

  • Hello Kailyn,

The device champion is out of office and will return on 7/6.

Meanwhile please share the data waveforms showing the temperature fluctuations. Have they looked at the FFT of the ADC output to look at the frequency spectrum of the interferers. Additionally if possible, please share the board schematics. If you are unable to share the schematics in the forum, please forward the schematics to the mailing list: ads129x-support@list.ti.com

Also, has the customer tested the configuration on the ADS129xEVM and if so, do they see similar behavior?
