I have a design that uses the ADS42JB69 ADC, it is sampled at 100 MSPS. We are evaluating the ENOB with a Fin of 10Mhz and 25Mhz. This is at the 2.5Vp input setting. We are calculating an ENOB higher than what is in the data sheet.
Is there SNR / ENOB data for the device at 100MSPS? Should we expect an improvement in those figures of merit based off the lower sample rate?
Hi Charles,
ENOB is related to SINAD (SNR + THD), not just SNR straight.
So the calculation should be SINAD = 6.02 * ENOB + 1.76 (dB), Solve for ENOB.
If this still doesn't help, please share some of the numbers you are collecting and we can look into this for you.
Regards,
Rob
