Hi,

We are using the TI AMC7836 part in our design and need below clarifications with respect to Datasheet specifications:

Need clarity with respect values specified in page 12 of the AMC7836 datasheet, Section 6.7 Electrical Characteristics: General:

  1. Is the “IAVCC, AVCC supply current”, specified considering total current on AVCC_AB + AVCC_CD supply pins?
  2. Is the “IAVSS, AVSS supply current” , specified considering total current on AVSSB+ AVSSC+AVSSD ?

Need to clarify on below with TI with respect values specified in page 12 of the AMC7836 datasheet, Section 6.7 Electrical Characteristics: General:

  1. Is the “Short circuit current Full-scale current shorted to the DAC group AVSS or AVCC voltage” specified per DAC or per DAC group? (I think it is per DAC)

    Hi Louis,

    1. The IAVCC spec is assuming both the AVCC_AB and CD inputs are connected to each other.

    2. This is also true with the IAVSS specification,  but AVEE is considered separate.

    3. The short-circuit current would be on a per DAC basis.
