ADS1293: I got a ESD problem using. I failed to pass the norm.

Part Number: ADS1293

Hi,

I am using the ADS1293 on ECG system.  (With a Microcontroller, bluetooth, etc)

I have to pass the ESD norm [EC 61000-4-2 (2008)]. The low voltages (2KV & 4KV) were ok but the high "shoot" voltages (8kV & 15kV) the ADS stoped working.

I know that the ESD for the device is lower (in the data sheet)  but the norm for medical holters provide these extreme voltages ranges.

(all the other test were ok for my device)

Perhaps you may have some workaround at PCB level so I can improve high voltages tolerance.

Any guide or comments will be welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Omar
