TSW14J57EVM: Trigger Option of HSDC Pro for ADC12DJxx00RF_JMODE5

Unfortunately, we don't have this option available for every FW and device using the TSW14J57EVM.

I can double check to see what might be available. I will update you as soon as I hear back.

There is one trigger mode we currently have working with the ADC12DJ3200EVM using mode 0. This is a 12 bit mode that would probably work with the ADC12DJ5200RFEVM but not the ADC0812DJ5200RFEVM as this only supports 8 bit mode. I am working with the software team to see if we can come up with an ini file that will work for you. This may not be available until early January due to the holiday break.

Please try the attached ini file for triggering with jmode5. You will need to place this file in the following folder on your PC and the re-launch HSDC Pro GUI:

Trigger INI Target Location : C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\14J57revE Details\ADC files

When opening HSDC Pro, this new ini option should be available in the device drop down window.

Thanks for the quick response even if in holidays.

I tried the attached ini file but the trigger seems not detected.

I confirmed that ADC board works with "ADC12DJxx00RF_JMODE5", then, I selected "ADC12DJxx00RF_JMODE5_trig". The trigger options was enabled and I checked "trigger mode enabled". I applied 0-1.8V square wave to the TRIG_IN(J13), then, I pressed "Read DDR Memory". However, it says "No trigger occurred."

I also tried software trigger generation, as Yasuhito mentioned in the previous Q&A. I connected TRIG_OUT_A(J14) and TRIG_IN(J13) and checked "Software Trigger Enable", then I clicked "Generate Trigger" button. However, it also failed with "No trigger occurred."

Is there anything I missed to use trigger input?
