DDC232: using SiPD with DDC232 in reverse mode

Hi dear

I'm using 32 SiPD photodetectors with a DDC232. I had connected them in direct mode, as indicated in datasheet, like below.

there is another way connecting SiPD, in inverse mode. I want to know is it possible to connect SiPD to DDC232 in reverse mode (as shown in figure), and it doesn't hurt DDC? if so, how will be the limitations and maximum reverse voltage and current in reverse mode?
