ADS1299: ADS1299_Power consumption problem

Part Number: ADS1299

Hi TI,

The power consumption collected in the manual is shown in the figure below:

I saw in the manual that the typical value of ADS1299 AVDD current is 7.14mA. I want to ask how much power consumption is typical after power down of other channels if only a single channel is used? My measured value is 3.83mA.

I see that the single channel power consumption of the old version of datasheet is less than 1mA (4.3mw/5v). The new version of the manual has removed this indicator. Why is it removed? Has the result changed? I need a typical value of single channel AVDD power consumption.

  • Hi,

TI does not provide such granularity and case-by-case test results/data as there are many different features, functions, parameters of ADS1299 devices that can be optional to be turned On/Off, enable/disable, use/unused and/or adjusted/tuned(e.g. PGA gain, data rate, etc).

TI can only provide/disclose the power dissipation data with the test conditions listed in the data sheet.

Customer is encouraged to use ADS1299 EVM to configure the way they may implement and get an estimate of the power consumption of the configurations of their interests.

TI does not disclose the the detail why a revision is made.

    Thanks.
