ADS122C04EVM: Register map not showing up on Delta-Sigma ADC EvaluaTIon Software, even after successful Hardware Connection

Hello all,

I need some help with using my ADS122C04 EVM with the Delta-Sigma ADC EvaluaTIon Software.

I was able to install the Evaluation software (with admin rights) and then also install the ADS122C04 Device Package ("ADS122C04-dvcpkg.exe"). It now connects to the GUI and gives me the message "Hardware Connected. Ready ...". Upon opening the Console tab, I see the response to the "ID" command as "ADS122C04 Sep/28/2017/06:47:43". However, the Register Map is still empty.

The folder "DSEvalSW" is present in my Documents folder and the

"Devices" folder in DSEvalSW does contain the ADS122C04 folder.

Could you please advise what might be the issue with my setup?

hi, I'm facing the same problem, I suspect we are in the same case as this topic:

Hi Akhil Nahar,

This does not appear to be the same issue as the one pointed to by Louis. The board does identify as the ADS122C04 as shown by the connection information in the ID response. Can you zip the entire contents of your DSEvalSW folder and attach the zip file to this thread for me to review?

From the log files it would appear that the GUI cannot find the files.

Unable to locate 'C:\Users\A0502551\Documents\DSEvalSW\Devices\ADS122C04\Devices' folder

Is this your documents folder and from the location you sent me the files? If not, then you can update the location where the files should be located by adjusting the User Directory in the GUI. This can be adjusted by going to the GUI File->Options and correcting the user directory to the correct location.

Hi Bob,

Yes, that is my Documents folder, the same one from where I have added the zip file.

In the GUI File Options, this is the same address that is saved. I tried rewriting the address but it still shows the same blank page for the Register Map.

Hi Akhil,

I just realized something I hadn't noticed earlier. The 'Devices' appears twice in the location information. This is very unusual. When you installed the GUI, did you change any default settings or file paths?

The GUI User Directory should appear similar to that below:

If you are still seeing issues I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the GUI using the default settings.

Hi Bob,

My path went all the way to \Documents\DSEvalSW\Devices\ADS122C04.

When I changed it to just until /DSEvalSW, it now shows the Register Map and works. This resolves my issue! Thanks a lot for your help.
