Hello,
I am working to use in my design the DAC121S101 and I would like to use to control an LDO, like in design described in SBAA341A. Datasheet says that 3 power Down modes can be configured, 1K and 100K pull down and high impedance. My question is if any of them is set during and after power on before a valid write sequence in the DAC.
Regards and thanks in advance
Raúl
Hi Raúl,
Figure 31 in the datasheet shows the output response during the power on reset. After the power on reset the DAC data register is "filled with zeros" meaning that the output is powered up, just set to zero code (0V).

Hi Raúl,
Follow-up DAC63204, or DAC63001 if you require single channel, are our recommended devices for this application. They power up in Hi-Z by default and even have a hi-z output when the supplies are powered off.

Hi Katlynne,
Thank you for your reply, the DAC121S101 can't be replaced, but knowing the power up status i can foreseen the LDO in shutdown until DAC is configured.
