ADS7042EVM-PDK: USB driver for ADS7042EVM-PDK

Hi Kawakami-san,

Welcome to our e2e forum!  Did you go through the ADS7042 software installation process noted in section 3 of the Users Guide?  If so, were there any issues with that process?

The ADS7042 software installation process has run.
There are the following differences from the contents described in the User's Guide.
・LED D2 is blinking, but LED D1 is not blinking.
As an unrecognized phenomenon, "Generic Bulk Device" is displayed in the device manager of the PC, but we have confirmed that a warning △ is displayed.

In addition, the board with ADS7042 described in the user's guide is different.
The one I have will be the "ADS704X SE EVM".

(1) I proceeded with the examination.

There was no memory card in the ADS704X SE EVM, so when I inserted it, the USB was recognized.
· It seems that it was recognized as "Bulk Data Interface".
· LED D2 is blinking, but LED D1 is not blinking.

Is this the correct behavior?

(2) If the above is correct behavior, there is additional content.

When I started the ADS704x-5x EVM in the above state, the following error message appeared.

In Get EVMEEPROM Info, EVM EEPROM is in old format (0x2360000)
Suggestions:
Use the EEPROM Loader to load the correct EEPROM.

In the user's guide, "4.6 Updating EEPROM After ADC Replacement" describes how to deal with it, so I think it can be dealt with, but it's different from the ADS704X SE EVM board I have, so I can't deal with it.

Could you tell me how to deal with the ADS704X SE EVM board?
Also, I have obtained the user's guide for the ADS704X SE EVM, but how can I obtain it?

Hi Kawakami-san,

Can you please tell me where you got the ADS704X SE EVM from?  I thought those had all been purged from stock.  Let me see if we can still get you the original software or get you a new (latest hardware) EVM.

I checked it on a mail-order site related to electronic parts and semiconductors.
Since the part number is the same, I thought that the same board as the user guide was included, but the board that was included was ADS704X SE EVM,.

I would like to proceed with the examination, so I am waiting for your reply regarding the details you have confirmed.

Attached is the older Users Guide.  The software for the version of EVM that you have should be on the microSD card that came in the box.  The software that is on our ADS7042 product folder is not compatible with the hardware that you have on hand.
