Dear Specialists,

My customer is considering ADS124S08 as substitute for ADS124S06.

I think the same software can be used, is it correct? 

Let me confirm just in case.

    Hi Shinichi,

    This question is similar to the one asked regarding the ADS114S06 and ADS114S08.  The ADS124S08 is essentially the same device as the ADS124S06 except the S08 version has more analog inputs.  The same software can be used.  Also, the ADS114S06/08 is the 16-bit version of the ADS124S06/08 which is 24-bit with the only differences with these devices is the data output format (16 or 24 bits).  All register settings are the same except for the ID register bits that define which part is being used.

    So you could use the same software for all four devices and read the ID register to change the conversion result format and limit the number of analog inputs being used.

    Also, each ID resister values are different, the software must allow for different IDs
