AMC1336: serial output data demodulization

Part Number: AMC1336

Hi, Gurus:

I hace question about the "Serial interface" of AMC1336.

I'm now using F280025C which NOT contain embedded SDFM inside,

It's not typical SPI interface, but the concept is seems the same,

1. Can I use SPI interface to get the serial data from AMC1336?

If not, I want to use eCAP module to get the DOUT pulse width and get the value for MCU internal use.

According to this previous thread, it said I can use PWM signal to feed CLKIN of AMC1336 and get PWM from DOUT.

2. I'm wondering is this concept correct?

3. Can you provide the CLKIN waveform and DOUT waveform of AMC1336 typical application?

Thanks!

  • Hi Chun-Lin,

    1. Since there is no chip select pin on the AMC1336 you cannot use SPI.

    2. I believe there is an eCAP module that has a feature to be configured as a single-channel PWM output when it is not being used in capture mode. Is this what you are referring to?

    • If this is the microcontroller you are looking to use, it explains the eCAP modules in more detail here.

But, you cannot get PWM from DOUT. It is a delta-sigma bitstream and requires interface to a delta-sigma filter module. If you have more questions on the microcontroller you post on their forum as well.

    3. Section 6.10 of the AMC1336 datasheet includes this figure:

    Hope this helps!

    Best regards,
    Eva
