Hi,
I have few doubts.

1.)In LMP92066 bias controller IC, Can we completely disable the temperature sensor and Give the specific voltage values from the external micro controller. Also can we able to burn the specific voltage values to the EEPROM so that during the power up of the IC, It automatically does the output voltage biasing.

Hi Vaishak,

You are able to override the temperature sensor and give your own "temperature" information. Unfortunately, you are not able to burn the override functionality into EEPROM. Every time you start up the device, you will have to set the bits to override the temperature.

The EEPROM holds the data for the LUT and temperature compensation values, and at startup the device will start measuring temperature and adjusting the DAC output.

Only for monitoring the temperature.

Hi Vaishak,

Yes, the temperature sensor still works if you are overriding it. You would be able to read the temperature from registers 0x00 and 0x01.

Which section of the datasheet should i consider, for calculating the DAC value for the desired output voltage without using the temperature compensation method ?

Hi Vaishak,

Pages 15-19 go in depth into how the Look up table works with the measured temperature. If you use overridden temperatures, it will work the same as if the temperature sensor is being used.

In LDMOS mode of biasing, I want the to set the FETDRV0 and FETDRV1 pin to 0V. Please tell me the DAC values for the same.

Hi Vaishak,

In LDMOS mode, the "turn off" value of the FETDRV pins will be 0V. You should set the DAC values to whatever you want the "Turn on" value to be. Code 0x000 would be 0V in LDMOS mode.

Hi Erin,
Can You please tell me the registers and DAC values for the below voltages -
This will be without temperature compensation.
1.) DAC 1= 1.9V
2.) DAC0 0= 2V
3.) Both DAC 1 and 0= 0V

Hi Vaishak,

This is the positive range? You can figure out the DAC voltage with the following equation:

DAC_CODE = DAC_Voltage * 819.2

1) The DAC value is decimal 1556, or hex 0x614

2) Decimal 1638, or hex 0x666

3) The value of these would be hex 0x000.

DAC 1= -3.7V
DAC 0= -2.8V

Hi Vaishak,

Looks like the equation for the negative range is the same as the positive range, so:

DAC1 = -3.7V = dec 3031, hex 0xBD7

DAC0 = -2.8V = dec 2293, hex 0x8F5
